A wonderful apartment, brimming with charm and character, hosted by the most charming, helpful and kind people a traveler could wish for. Situated within a lovely quiet location, away from the bustle of the town center, the apartment is still within an easy 20 minute walk or a short bus ride to the center of Biarritz . The apartment benefits from sun both in the morning and evening and is further complimented by a view from the terrace over private gardens and allotments, which further adds to the tranquil nature of the apartment. The apartment is within a short walk of a local supermarket, butchers, bakeries/cafe and a stunning local restaurant (AHPÉ Restaurant) that, despite its very modest pricing, deserves a Michelin star. In short, a wonderful experience.

To put on TA We found Villa Julie easily and although there didn’t seem be any of the “plentiful street parking” we found a space just down the road. As we had received a message from Yvon that he was already at the house we were able to check in right away. The apartment is very nice and is spacious and very light. It is very nicely furnished and fully equipped, and a major bonus is the terrace that extends outside both the lounge and the main bedroom. It is located in a residential area so is free of all the noise and bustle of the city centre. It is a 15 minute walk to the seafront and a pleasant 20 minute stroll into the city centre. There are also a few local shops just up the road, including a baker and supermarket so our self-catering needs were easy to sort. We spent three days here and the flat made an ideal base. It was also a relaxing place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. All communication from the owners was timely and helpful and we knew that they were on hand if we needed anything. On a practical note re parking, we left on a Sunday at it was noticeable that there were lots of free spaces over the weekend.
