The atmosphere! A city palace, partly from ancient times. Just outside the crowded area, so: quiet. The friendly owners are still working on their project, and want to turn it into a cultural spot. Do not expect a modern hotel with career managers. Expect a lovely patio behind a big wooden gate, a privately owned villa with a stylish staircase, two house cats, and a couple of modern rooms. Pet friendly, gay friendly, and we survived the 2025 national power outage with Carmen and Victor.

I’ve traveled extensively over the years, but rarely have I experienced a welcome as warm and genuine as the one I received at Palacio de los Angulo, hosted by Carmen and Victor. They don’t just host you — they open their world to you. With open arms, they share not only their beautiful guest house and peaceful patio, but also their deep love for Córdoba and its culture. From the moment you step through the door, you can feel how much they care about what they do. I arrived as a guest and leave feeling like this historic and beautiful palacio has become a home.

My wife and I were most happy about the site, location, and the warm and open contact with the owners - especially their attempt to maintain original space and architecture in connection with modest and efficient space. Their communication was effective and reliable.
