The fine print
Some rooms may not be suitable for cots, please check at time of booking. There are 11 steps to the front door, which may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Once inside there is a lift to floors 1 and 2. Parking is suitable for vehicles up to 1.90 metres, vehicles that can't use the parking will have to park on street. *On-line check-in must be completed prior to arriving. There is no facility to check in after 22:00 and keys must be handed into reception no later than 10.30 on day of departure. There must be 1 responsible adult aged 18 or over in each room. The Sheldon cannot take DSS or unaccompanied children under any circumstances.This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Sheldon. It is perfectly positioned for all the attractions of Eastbourne, with safe free parking as a bonus. Our host, Steve, went out of his way to make our visit special. We were so grateful for all his help. Would not hesitate to recommend the Sheldon, a very friendly and comfortable home from home.

Very lovely surprise. Quite quirky but very comfortable. The lounge area is outstanding. The breakfast is really good. Having a microwave and kettle available for everyone all the time is really thoughtful and makes not paying to eat out possible.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sheldon and honestly can't believe the value I got for the money I paid. Their communication was excellent, responding positively to all of my needs. At check in, I was greeted outside (I was travelling by bike) and immediately shown where I could store my bike overnight. The decor inside is really quite special (and further proof that a wife is always right and a husband should already agree 🤣) and it almost feels like a boutique hotel in some ways. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were also to a high standard. I hope I get to return some day
