Block 01 of the Yala National Park will be closed for two months starting from 1st of September to the 31st of October 2018, however, Block 5 of the National Park will still be made open for safaris.
During this period, guests can also visit the following National Parks with a similar biodiversity:
1. Lunugamwehera ( Located 63 km away 100 minutes drive from the hotel) 2. Bundala (Located 20 km away 30 minutes drive from the hotel.) 3. Udawalawe (Located 88 km away 120 minutes drive from the hotel)
In addition, the property will continue Night Safaris, Night walks, Nature walks, Visits to the Fishing Village, Visits to Chenas and Kirinda. This can be arranged by the hotel at an additional cost.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. A wonderful place to stay. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beach chalet but as stated you can’t see it. However the room was huge and great facilities - they have thought of everything. The food here is spectacular with a massive choice to cater for all tastes. Lovely swimming pool and viewing area over the lake to watch the local wildlife. You can’t swim in the sea here as dangerous. The staff go above and beyond. Most people staying here are off on safaris so the hotel doesn’t feel full. Yes it maybe costly but a bit of luxury is definitely worth it. Highly recommend this hotel.

The experience of staying at this hotel is great because it is located in the middle of the national park. And the park adventure we had in the morning was awesome. They packed a good breakfast for us and were attentive. The staff were friendly and attentive.

We had a pleasant stay overall, the staff at the hotel were welcoming, the lodge was very clean and comfortable. However, I found the pricing of the food to be on the higher side. The breakfast buffet, though modest in variety, was priced at 6,500++ pp and the dinner buffet at 10,000++, which felt quite steep considering the selection and offerings. I believe the dining experience could offer better value for money.
