We were drawn to this Aparthotel because of its location. Georgioupoli is in between Chania and Rethymnon and has amazing history around it! The apartment we had on the top floor was spacious and very comfortable. We were lucky to have a large roof terrace from which we could see the surrounding mountains and the sea. The main beach just a short 5 min walk through the pladia (piazza). Another beautiful beach within 10 min walk on the other side of the fishing port. The property is surrounded by some of the best tavernas I’ve eaten at in Crete. Shops and bars. Our room was clean and cleaned daily with fresh soft towels. Having a small kitchen was also very useful for our stay. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. You may have read that the check in is at their main resort at the other end of town, but all you need to do is contact them ahead of your visit and they will pick you up from the front of apartment take you to check in and bring you back. Vice versa for check out. You will read that the area is derelict. Nonsense!! There is a derelict building next door but that is due to it being abandoned by its owners. Nothing the authorities are able to do about that. The ground floor is a retail unit that is currently unlet. But that does not alter that the apartments are in good order and well maintained. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to stay here again.

The rooms are new . Into the city , one step from the square . Modern and simple . The staff at the reception was really good and helpful. Extras +++Good internet connection
