The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that ferry schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions. The Barat Tioman Beach Resort will not be liable for ferry cancellations.

Room was spacious, modern and clean. Amazing location right on the beach. Pool was great to use as well. Staff were really friendly. The reception staff upgraded us on arrival, Sharif and the maintenance team helped out with any questions we had and the boat trip crew that took us snorkelling were great.

Hotel Review: The Barat Tioman, Malaysia The Barat Tioman is a great getaway for those looking to relax by the sea. The beachfront location is stunning, offering beautiful sunrise views and direct access to the crystal-clear waters. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with modern amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. The on-site restaurant serves delicious local and international dishes, though prices are slightly high but the food is so good！ Activities like snorkeling and diving are easily accessible, making it a great choice for adventure seekers. However, Wi-Fi can be slow at times. Overall, The Barat Tioman is a fantastic choice for a peaceful island retreat.

Great location towards end of beach/town, close to turtle sanctuary and right in front of nice beach. Inside room well furnished and clean. From outside doesn't look great. Very quiet village/kampung, local life going on all around, a lot of nice local places to eat and try out local cuisine. Well equipped recreation facilities on the beach with lots to do. Scooter rental place at resort entrance worthwhile (great way to get around and to explore the road that crosses the island linking Juara to Tekek).
