Location next to scenic graveyard was superb. Staff very friendly and helpful. Morning ceremony was a highlight of our trip.

So we thought we should do the temple stay thing, and I think that this temple was about as good as it gets. Only 15 rooms and located next door to the cemetery. The room was lovely, overlooking the garden. Parking was easy, and the monk who checked us in was hilariously funny. Toilets and bathrooms were never crowded or unavailable.

What an amazing experience to stay in an ancient monastery. We attended the fire ceremony, which was interesting. The chanting at the end was fun. The room was comfortable and clean. The onsen was refreshing. The food was absolutely incredible. It’s right next to the cemetery, perfect for a spooky night time walk. It’s a bit expensive to stay here for budget-minded travellers but it’s worth splashing out once in a while.

Good location. Not many tourists in the area, yet super central - a lot of metro lines and restaurants. The tatami room is small but super clean and comfortable.
