The property is unique. Firstly it’s the building of the old train station. Secondly the owner has created many opportunities for the locals to learn new skills through their on site coffee roastery and the distillery. The hotel has been renovated sympathetically. It is comfortable but with all the modern conveniences. I even tried out the wood fired sauna which was a lovely experience. Best of all are the staff. They are so friendly and helpful. I was stuck organising our Machu Picchu tickets it’s very complicated. Helen came to our rescue and totally took the stress out of our visit and organised everything for us (bus tickets, train tickets, an extremely good guide and the all important Machu Picchu tickets). I can’t thank them enough for making our stay something I will treasure forever.

Great hotel and wonderful concept; the original owner and her family have collaborated with the rest of the community to provide an excellent service and products. What is also great is that the hotel is quite literally on the platform of the train station, meaning you can see the trains to Aguas Callientes come and go. We really enjoyed our stay.
