Beautiful quiet medieval town (Petroio) became our home for the duration of our stay. We were warmly welcomed by Fabio after having experienced some drama with trains etc. The beautifully decorated flat was a welcoming sight with everything we needed to make it our "home" for nine blissful days. With a Tuscan valley view! Good to know: The self catering flat is clean and very well equipped for use of kitchen and bathroom. Hanging space and a cupboard with drawers for clothes in a spacious bedroom, laundry machine, coffee machine, gas stove with oven, fridge and freezer, and a dining table. Petroio is from a few minutes to 2 and half hours drive away from most of the other medieval towns and Firenze(Florence). Fabio and Alessandra are great hosts. They are involved, helpful and informative. Our train from Rome to Chuisi was cancelled and we had to pick up our rental before the agency in Chuisi closed. There was only one other train to Chuisi later from Rome. Fabio phoned the rental agency and sorted everything out so that we could at least relax about picking up the car in time especially after all the complications with trains. I needed to get to a pharmacist fast and Fabio was very available and helped us to find one that is open. We received all relevant information prior to our stay on WhatsApp from Alessandra. Fabio and Alessandra, I wish I could keep Nonna Vela as my secret for ever. Thank you for a clean place, thank you for being great hosts and please let us know when you need information and help to plan a visit to our beautiful country South Africa. Elizabeth and Mauritz.

Great location, host was fantastic with communication and assistance throughout. Kitchen is well stocked with essentials and accommodation has great cosy feeling. Highly recommended to stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Having our coffee on the balcony was a beautiful way to start the day. We had a car and were able to easily explore a few of the surrounding areas. The home itself was well organised and we appreciated all the finer details. Fabio was a great host and appreciated his quick and clear communication. We look forward to another trip again!
