Please note the bus schedule if you are arriving to the Punta Arenas Airport (230 km away) and wish to get to Puerto Natales. Flights arriving late in the evening may have to wait until the next day to catch a bus.This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful with keeping our bags while we were away on the W trek and ordering us a cab. Breakfast was nice and ready from 6am. The rooms were simple but had all the things needed for a short stay and the beds were great

I loved everything about this place. Not too far from the centre. Very clean. Great breakfast. Awesome staff. Smiley, welcoming and helpful. One of the best places we stayed in Chile/Argentina

The staff were very helpful and let us keep our bags there for 6 days for free whilst we went on the W trail. They helped book us taxis and set up a full breakfast even when it was just the two of us staying.

Hostal La Base was one of the best decisions we've made when booking a place in Puerto Natales. Originally, I booked another hostel that was "advertised highly" on booking.com, but made a last minute decision to switch. Glad I did! It was the perfect hostel for a couple with private rooms with 2 single beds. It had two outlets and a private washroom with plenty of soap. Breakfast selection included fruit, bread, oatmeal, cereal, deli meat and cheese. It's a little further of a walk between the main town, but closer to Terminal Rodovario if you need to take the bus. What made it great was unfortunately my luggage was delayed, and didn't arrive at the hostel until super late (after I rented gear from town). When the guy at the front desk learned we were waiting for an Uber to drop off the rental gear since my luggage arrived, he swiftly grabbed his keys and told us to hop in his car. On top of this, they also offer luggage storage while you do treks, which is super helpful! Would 100% recommend this place to stay if you're coming to Puerto Natales! Also would recommend you download google translate to help you converse with the people there!
