I can't say enough about this amazing place! Our stay was one of the most memorable in our 35 years of travel! The host was very welcoming, the food was excellent, the accommodation was exquisite and the location on too of the mountain was magical! I would highly recommend Casa Cimeira! The breakfast was excellent and the dinners were amazing. The host shared wines from his estate that were wonderful. Thank you Miguel for a beautiful stay!

This property is basically a cluster of three houses, with the inn/bedrooms in a delightful, renovated traditional multi-story house, and the dining and reception space in the main house. The owner Miguel was born to be a host. He was quite literally one of the nicest and most outgoing person that I have met. The highlight of the stay is the evening meal, complete with reception, then communal dining with multi-course homemade cuisine and his estate wine. The meal was akin to a United Nations social, with Miguel happily chatting (in multiple languages) with the guests as he worked. One of the highlights of our trip to the Douro Valley.

We have never enjoyed the hospitality provided by Miguel and family more in all the many many years of travel. Miguel with his wonderful food banquet evening with home grown port/wines, he single handedly United Nations at his table with pre dinner and after dinner social port wines and good conversation, it was such a great warm experience. Just to let you know - there were pairs of couples/friends, young and older that night from NINE different countries. We represented Australia, it was so wonderful. The very scary narrow roads and rented car, the drive was well worth it. To share the dinner evening was decided because of the narrow roads to drive to Quinta Casa Cimeira (the dinner was very low cost). Just do it!
